Hey! I'm Alison. In one of my favorite books by Leif Enger, a character is remembered as being "a profligate reader and purveyor of impertinent ideas."
As a fellow profligate reader, I deeply identify with that description. I especially gravitate toward global literature because I love learning about how different folks think and live and what they believe.
I suppose that posture of welcoming those who are different from me is the posture I try to adopt as a Vocationality Guide. As far as the "impertinent ideas" part goes, I like to think that just means helping other people to be more curious, to think outside the box, and find new ways of seeing themselves and being themselves.
